Important Items: 

Please bring in canned or boxed food donation items. We have until Thursday night to collect items, so you can also bring them to the Dance! 

Quarter Donations: We are going to be doing some learning for Moose Hide Campaign and we will be collecting "Quarters for Kindness" 

Thursday: Family Dance! Starts at 6:00


This week: 

We did some learning on Bear Witness Day 

ELAL: Ask me what is happening in A Rover's Story 
Ask me what a metaphor/simile are 

Here are some examples of figurative language we wrote about Mr. Newton: 
1. Mr. Newton is as funky as his socks
2. Swish, Mr. Newton sunk a ball from half court
3. Mr. Newton is the next Connor McDavid

Math: We wrapped up our fractions unit this week with a review and a Show What You Know. Next up: Area and Perimeter 

Science: we completed research on the musculoskeletal system and are starting to explore the respiratory and circulatory systems 

Social Studies: We are started Time Line of Canada. Ask me what Pre-contact is. Ask me who Leif Erikson is. Ask me who John Cabot is. 

We also worked on creating to lovely Mother's Day crafts!
