This week:
This week we did some learning surrounding Remembrance Day. We learned about the history/meaning of the poppy, we learned about indigenous hero's of war, specifically about a Code Talker named Charles Tokin. To build our class wreath that we laid at the assembly, we learned how to finger crochet, and then turned our crochet chains into poppies for our wreath.
While exploring more about weather and climate, we used our own experiences of travels or readings to predict climate around the world. We then completed an interactive activity which helped us colour-code and identify climate zones around the world. We also continued learning about the sun as a driving force to weather and climate.
Ask me about some patterns I have noticed from our daily weather tracking!
We continued practicing plotting ordered pairs/coordinates on a grid. We completed another mystery picture and then worked on a final Show What You Know, and completed a review activity on decimal numbers/fractions.
