 This was a busy week!

As we enter the last quarter of our school year, we reconnected with the student code of conduct and our classroom expectations. We were reminded of adult and student expected behaviour within CBE schools and also the behaviours expected within NLS school and our classroom. The student friendly code of conduct can be viewed

This week we will be reviewing the I Can statements that are in the code of conduct.
We got to spend time with a very special guest on Tuesday...Elder Frank Turning Robe. He taught us through storytelling. He spoke of how we learn from the land, some traditions and tales, and of course answered many of our curious students' questions!

Phys. Ed was a lot of fun this week. We played dodgeball, and also wrapped up our gymnastics unit with a fun gymnastics course....

We also FINALLY got  a ...

We became chemists this week in Science. We mixed liquids and observed changes. The students had to observe whether their liquids became mixtures or solutions, and make conclusions as to why. Some of the liquids we used were vinegar, lemon juice, vegetable glycerine, corn syrup, dish soap. The expermients were fun to conduct, and fun to observe. They got to record their findings on Flip Grid.

Math was spent working through some group challenges. The students were in groups or pairs and had to read word problems and match the algebraic equation that went with it. They also completed a algbera assessment.
