Literacy Week kept up busy and engaged! Check out what we have been up to.

Monday was Earth Day, we had some discussions about Planet vs Plastic! and then created political cartoons and recycled paper art.

ELAL - We have been working on writing a multiple paragraph writing piece. We are following the expectations of introduction, 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion. These are all about why I should read their books. I have to admit, the hooks are enticing!

We also had Stop Drop and Read this week. Thursday we traveled everywhere with our books, so that we were ready to stop at any moment and read. We completed a literacy scavenger hunt around the school too! There were clues, letters and a scrambled message to solve. We spent time playing the literacy based games in our classroom, too!

We got to go outside with the entire school to participate in an outdoor reading session. It was chilly, but enjoyable!

Mr. Newton is working on gymnastics with the students. They were practicing balances with partners and groups!

We continued our health. While we learned about the internal and external male reproductive parts, the other students researched the circulatory system and muscular system.

A major part of our week was sharing our Level-Up Minecraft tours! The kids worked very hard on these, and did a wonderful job! We made thoughtful reviews with stars and wishes for improvement, too.
