Phys. Ed: Students were creating their own Drumfit routine with a group of peers. They had to coordinate their movements to a song of their choosing.

Math: While continuing to learn about algebra, we focused on using inverse operations to isolate the letter, and find its value. We used scales to help us learn. We also completed a fun math challenge: Students were given a variety of whole numbers, decimals, negatives and fractions. they had to try to order this on a number line.

Social Studies: We are creating foldables to demonstrate out knowledge on how the Haida use their natural resources like cedar trees, water and plants. We learned about the traditional way in which the Haida fell the trees. This was really cool!

Minecraft: The kids worked very hard this week to complete their world and create their script. They had to record a tour on FlipGrid with clear explanation about how each addition to their park or train station adds vibrancy, sustainability or resiliency.

Health: While some students are learning about the skeletal system, muscular system and brain development, the rest of the class has been learning about the female reproductive system. We are learning what each part of the reproductive system does. We are also learning about menstruation.
