We have been busy deepening our understanding of Truth and Reconciliation. We learned what reconciliation means, and have talked about how we can work to try to make a wrong, right again. Through lots of rich conversation about what we know about Indigenous history, we have gained a better understanding of why reconciliation is so important.
Ask me about the activity that we completed about our individual identity cards, and how we gained a glimpse of understanding into the lives of the residential school survivors.
We had an opportunity to go to the Maker Space with Mrs. Barnden's class. The students were prompted to create an inclusive learning environment or tool, to represent how all students should feel included and safe at school.
