Thursday Sept. 28
Orange Shirt Day!
First of all we went to gym and played Gaga ball and other games that were practicing underhand and overhand throwing.
We helped the grade 2's write how we should feel when we come to school on an orange ribbon, and then we tied the ribbons to the fence out front of our school.
We decorated feathers using crayons, pencil crayons, or oil pastels to state how everyone should feel at school. We hung the feathers on wood to hand in our window.
We continued our halloween picture using coordinates, those of us who were finished took on a challenge of making a map of Canada using coordinates, or creating a mystery picture.
We read a lovely poem from the 2023 booklet Truth Before Reconciliation called For my Nieces.
We are excited that Clubs are starting to form in school soon!
REMINDER: In-line skating starts MONDAY!
