 A little about our day:

Today we did a land offering! We had a pouch of tobacco and we did some sketches with it. We use the tobacco because in Indigenous culture it represents honesty. Miss Mundy opened the pouch and sprinkled it onto the grass. We made a circle of leaves and sat around the offering. Since the Indigienous people were here before us, we reflected and thanked them for the use of their land.

For Social Studies we read a book called I am not a Number. We aren't finished yet, but in the book there was a girl who went to the residential school. The girl thought she would be able to be with her brother but she got separated from her brothers.

In Math we play a game called Splat! There is a sum total and we have to guess the numbers behind the SPLAT!

We continued our research on different animals. "We started on our posters. We were able to write it on Google Docs rather than hand printing" - Bassem

"Fennec Foxes have a black tip at the end of their bushy tails!" - Fennec explains, from their research.

"The whole day was amazing!" - Ahyan
