We examined a "story map" more deeply, and started creating a story map for our creature that is based off of The Barnabus Project.   Math:   We completed a 2-digit by 2-digit scavenger hunt with 5D! We also worked in solving word problems dealing with multiplication. We focused on circular endings, emotional endings, moral/lesson endings, question endings and surprise endings. To see real examples, we explored a variety of story books, including, The Giving Tree, This is not my Hat, Walter the Farting Dog, If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, The Memory Tree.   We also listened to The Barnabus Project, which will inspire our next writing project.
