Happy Holidays!!!  We had a very busy and fun-filled week!  We wrapped up our unit in adding and subtracting decimals in math. We wrapped up our Vlog projects for the Climate & Weather research projects. We wrapped up our Regions of Canada paragraphs, too!  We played some festive games in PE, and we celebrated our Read Aloud by watching Out Of My Mind with all the grade 5 classes. Today, we walked to our sit-spots at the storm pond to do some seasonal sketching, and then we went to the Senior home to deliver cards. We got to stay and sing a couple songs as well.  See everyone back here on Jan. 6 :)

Science Fair Information

This year grade 5 students will be given an opportunity to participate in a Science Fair! This is an OPTIONAL project in which most work is completed at home, with some check-ins and support at school.  There are two levels of the Science:  Level 1 : NLS Science Fair  Level 2 : Opportunity to proceed to a Calgary wide Science Fair (judges choose 3 projects to advance to a Calgary-wide Science Fair)  Find more information HERE Students who are interested are able to compete as a single person or a pair.  This break, if you are interested, brainstorm ideas of problems that you would like to try to find answers/solutions for!
