 Important Dates: Monday: Wear Green!  March 20 - Subway Fun Lunch (Orders due by Saturday, March 15 at healthyhunger.ca ) March 20 (evening) and 21 (daytime) – ONLINE Parent/Teacher Conferences - PLEASE BOOK A CONFERENCE IF YOU HAVE NOT BOOKED ONE YET. Our week: ELAL: We have been adding to our Barnabus stories. We reviewed story endings, and we tried implementing figurative language into our writing. We have continued to learn about figurative language. We learned about personification, metaphor and simile. We listened to some music to find examples. We have continued creating, writing and practicing our TUSC speeches/presentations. Social: Star Stories - we continued our doodle notes on indigenous star stories. We learned about the Inuit tale of the sun and the moon, and how we get day and night. Math: Long division - we are wrapping up our work with long division. Important: March 20 (evening) and 21 (daytime) – ONLINE Parent/Teacher Stay tuned for exciting information about our Gr. 5 learning experience: This week: We have continued working on long division in math. Questions like these are excellent ways to show your understanding: What Went Wrong? In Social Studies and Science:  We are studying how the indigenous people told stories about the night sky/constellations and used the night sky teach lessons or for day-to-day information.  We turned this learning into Doodle Notes!  TUSC:  We have started a new project! Ask me what my role is! Log onto Google Classroom to read more. Writing: Our Barnabus stories are starting to wrap up. We are toiling away.  -We have also been exploring figurative language within music! We have found many examples or onomatopoeia and alliteration in some of our favourite songs!
