This week we:  ELAL: we spent time exploring current events by reading kids news on CBC. We read this article about Jupiter's moon, which sparked many questions. We worked through our literacy stations. Our reading comprehension task this week was about Michael Jordan, and we explored acrostic poems too.      Math: We continued working on algebra. Listen & draw is a common favourite part of the math class; this week we had questions about Mrs. Docherty's visit to starbucks and Mrs. Brinson's visit to staples.  We also worked through our math stations, and introduced a new task card algebra station.    Social Studies: We continued to learn about the stories that make up Canadian history.  Today at school we started with a community circle where we shared our weekend and what we did, after saying good morning to everyone. Our Community Circle was very disrespectful because people had too many comments. So we had a meeting about it. Next we had Phys.Ed. I n it we played a game we played months ago where we would kick a soccer ball in to a goal and there would be two teams battling. But we played that game with hockey sticks and a ball. After we had Math after having to skip ELAL in math we did our basic facts leading to algebra and stations. Then we had inside Lunch and maker right after. We had our Science where we experimented with techniques of separating solids. Ask me which technique I tried today We ended the day with a little bit of writing. We worked on our Biographies.
